ESSENTIAL OILS
There is still a common confusion between essential oils and fragrances.
The average fragrance contains more than fourteen chemicals not listed on the label. These include UV-absorbers, dyes, stabilizers and sometimes phthalates, which are added to make the scent last longer. Synthetic fragrances are the result of chemical processes. When applied, many of the chemicals are absorbed through the skin, and over time they accumulate in the body and may contribute to health issues.
Due to its structure, the skin in the underarms is several times more permeable than in the rest of the body. For this reason, instead of synthetic fragrances, we use only organic and therapeutic grade essential oils, which are safe in limited amounts and have multiple health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, stress, anxiety, headaches, offer insomnia relief and anti-microbial protection.
Essential oils are derived from plant parts typically with some of the following methods: steam distillation, solvent extraction, CO2 extraction, cold press extraction, and others. There are no added stabilizers or preservatives. They contain only naturally occurring volatile compounds.
